There is something insidious about the current administration's task force to increase childbirth while simultaneously choosing to attack the Affordable Care Act's preventative care procedures.There is something insidious about the current administration's task force to increase childbirth while simultaneously supporting a Secretary of Health who views children with autism as tragedies.
Children are great. People who want to have children should be able to have children. But coercing people to give birth in a society that does not prioritize maternal health and delivery, does not provide affordable childcare, and does not make it possible for a single income home to live comfortably, is a recipe for disaster. I've said it before and I will say it again, being pro-birth is anti-life if your policies and passions for a child's existence, cease at delivery. Babies are great, they are precious, they are beautiful - but they do not stay babies. They become children, who then become adults and they should be able to grow up in healthy, stable, and loving environments
